Family Eyecare of Glendale doctors and staff put on their volunteer hats and headed over to St. Mary’s Food Bank in Phoenix. Together with the many volunteers, they helped pack 2160 emergency food boxes. In a two-hour shift, they produced a total of 15 pallets, equating to 38,792 meals for local families.
St. Mary’s Foodbank distributes 250,000 meals a day as a service to those in need, an effort that the organization could not achieve without the help of volunteers. Family Eyecare of Glendale believes in paying it forward. Jimmy, the Assistant Optical Manager, commented “It is so fulfilling when we can come together as a team for a great cause like providing aid for families.”
